Hideway is a camping resort near Niagara Falls,
Ontario, Canada. With a very large existing aquatic
facility, the owners wanted to provide an aquatic
playground for the younger children. With a beach
entry all around and maximum depth of 12"
(30 cm) the parents can relax knowing the children
are not playing in deep water. A little standing
water also slows the running and provides exceptional
play value.
The water play area is approximately
3600 Sq Ft (360 Sq M ) and draws from the existing
pool's chlorinated water. The surface is broom
finished concrete in natural color providing a
low maintenance non-slip surface.
A central climb and slide feature,
the Aquadek, creates the focal point and is surrounded
by a combination of interactive Watertoys®,
Aquatons® spray features, aquajets and bubblers.
The facility is not automated and simply turned
on and off with the opening and closing of the
Aquatic facility.
Empex products are completely
fabricated from non metal components providing
a lifetime corrosion warranty and superior lightning
resistance. Much lighter than metal, the features
are surface mounted with no complicated foundations
or embedded elements, thus reducing construction
costs significantly.
