Sterling Inn is a Best Western hotel in Sterling, Michigan. To attract more families the owners added on to the existing hotel to create a space for an interactive children’s playground.

Empex Watertoys® , worked together with the Sterling Inn personnel to create a dynamic and colorful play area that offers something different compared to the play structures of the past. Completely fabricated from structural composite plastics, the water playground has a lifetime corrosion guarantee. With minimal moving parts, the area is relatively maintenance free.

The water play area caters to young families with children of ages up to 12 and provides a combination of water jets, sprays and flows that offer simple interactivity as well as an early introduction into hydraulics.

A central climb and slide Aquadek structure is the focal point and is surrounded by interactive Watertoys® , Aquaton® spray features and Aquajetz ground sprays. The facility boasts ample seating on the deck and a beach entry descending gently to 8” depth. The parents can relax knowing the children are not playing in deep water.

The Aquatic Playground functions much the same as a regular pool facility with water quality being maintained by a filtration and chlorination system.

Aquatic Playgrounds are a hot new trend in the hospitality industry and quickly becoming a standard component in new hotel and resort design.
