The summer of 2020 taught us many things. If nothing else, from now on we all will be a little more prepared for unexpected changes in our lives. On the brighter side, it’s also good to know that, even in the midst of a pandemic, splash pads and spray parks can offer safe options for children of all ages to have fun.
But only if you practice the same health guidelines we all learned last summer.
3 Health Tips for Spray Parks & Splash Pads for This Summer
As a leading manufacturer of splash pads and spray park equipment enjoyed around the world, we want to remind you to use splash parks safely and healthily while the pandemic is still an issue.
Splash Pads & Spray Parks are Safe to Use – Once you do so within all the personal safety guidelines in your area, you can enjoy a visit to a spray park.
The U.S. Centre for Disease Control (CDC) reports that there’s no evidence of coronavirus spreading through water in pools, hot tubs, spas or water play areas when the water is properly treated.
According to the CDC: “Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfection with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should inactivate the virus in the water.”
Keep Practicing Social Distancing – Even if your area is more open than others until we are completely out of the pandemic, it doesn’t hurt to practice standard social distancing guidelines. Wear masks to and from the spray park, and whenever convenient within the park. Try to sit more than six feet away from other groups and make sure your children don’t mix too closely with other children.
Stay Away if You Don’t Feel Well – This should become a permanent rule to help stop the spread of all infectious diseases, including colds and the flu. But if you or anyone in your family has symptoms of an illness, please stay home to stop the spread.
